The application process is a breeze and if your awarded benefits please have your banking routing and account number to have the IU payments deposited directly to your bank. If you a member of the United States Military you will need proof of service (DD214) when filing. Please note that US Vets must wait until they have been officially discharged from the military before filing a claim.
A user can also file a biweekly request for payment, update relevant information, request redetermination or appeal of a decision regarding your claim. If you feel like you were wrongly denied benefits you should file an appeal. All appeals MUST be filed within 10 days of the Notice of Determination. You will be asked to provide approximate gross quarterly earnings (PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS JUST AN ESTIMATE). The maximum amount of money you can collect is determined by the amount you collect during your benefit year. It is based on the wages you earned in your base period.
